Tuesday had 2 door windows fitted, they look stunning, totally transformed the van. Eileen bought me a set of those plastic wheel trims that look like (don't look like) alloy wheels just to 'pimp it up' even more.
Got the main units in, then made some adjustments and decreased sizes of some units, no point having a six foot bed when I'm only 5'8''. I can use that extra 4 inches for the fridge.
The slat bed worked out well, extends into a double. Next step this afternoon is unit for fridge, battery and electrics and maybe a cheeky little seat over the battery.
With the bed in I can have a measure up and order some cushions. I'll probably avoid memory foam as we've got one upstairs and I've found that the cat's sleep on it so much it remembers them not me.

Slowly slowly, battery in but not connected to main battery via split charge relay, fridge in, going to run the fridge to get the battery down to 50% then connect up the solar panel to check it recharges the battery, some wiring done, main lights working. Some doors fitted and painted, another couple of weeks should do it.

what are your side panels ? a sort of felt glued onto 4mm ply or something ?

They call it 4 way stretch carpet but I think your word 'felt' is probably a closer description. Pretty good stuff really, apply using spray contact adhesive on both surfaces. Those sides were the original ply lining boards for the van. Not hugely expensive either, about £6 a meter from a company called 'vandalise'.
 
Could you refrain from posting this project as it is showing up my media centre, at this rate you will have finished your camper before I have pointed my bloody chimney up.

What type of battery have you installed? Deep cycle type or just the usual standard CCC type?

Deep cycle leisure battery. Will have a split charge relay so will charge off the alternator when driving and isolate from the van battery when parked up, plus a 100 watt solar panel.

Looked at a lithium battery but quite a bit more money, not just the battery cost but lithiums wont work with a splt charge relay so would need to use a dc to dc charger which again is more money.
It's all a learning curve at the moment, if we enjoy using it, will go for something else next year, something I can stand up in.
