Reform will stop the small boats within two weeks ...

you think legal migration is a bigger problem than Illegal migration and the refugees forced to flee by war?

Numbers, Oddballs, numbers!!

And they are not fleeing war. There is no war in France, unless I'm very much mistaken. And as for refugees - you need only look to Ukraine. Their genuine refugees are made up of women, children, elderly - even cats and dogs. That what real refugees look like. Their young men are fighting to save their countries - not bashing the bishop in a Travelodge in Staines all day and pursuing schoolgirls. Disgusting cowards!

Absolutely fecking deluded!

you're wanging on about Trump stopping the war, not me.

Get yer specs on and stop sniffing your kitty's catnip supply.:giggle:

you prepared to pay more in tax for those little luxuries?
If I knew the additional tax was going on properly delivering these, in my view necessities not luxuries, then yes I'd be happy to pay a bit more tax.

Have to admit, on balance I am so pleased I grew up in a pre Internet pre smart this smart that era.

Let's face it, if we'd had things like that when younger, many (most?) of us would have been every bit as guilty as the youth of today re staring at our phones 24/7 etc.

Yes, these phones and soshall meedya also have a big part to play. It rots brains and breeds disastisfaction. See it on here all the time. :giggle:

And whose fault is that?
It is the fault of a worldwide problem which all governments should be focusing on. The extreme views of the right wing are primarily the fault of Farage, he did it to cause rioting and he is doing it again on this.

Do you not think if Labour could sort it quickly they would? If they don't, but they could, they are opening the door to Farage which would be stupid in the extreme.

This is an excellent post.

The problem is that people might vote for policies they don't understand, like they did with Trump.
If we're being honest, what percentage of the electorate actually have a good grasp of what they're voting for when they put their X in the box? I mean in terms of reading and comparing manifestos, the track history of the party and its team etc.

I suspect many (most?) simply base their decision on one or two things important to them.

Why are you voting for <insert party name here>?
They're going to spend more on the NHS, that's important to me!
Have you fact checked what they're actually going to do?
Emmm, well, not exactly, however <insert party leader name here> said on the news last night they are going to do it.

Then you get the voters who simply vote through habit/tradition.

My family has always voted <insert party name here> so I'll be doing the same this time.
And have you checked their manifesto and policies for the coming years?
Emmm, well ...

I'd love to know the % of the voting public who do actually look into the facts and figures.

H-man likes the way Farage smiles at him. Go figure.
