Probably about average yes, not sure exactly what he earns but if you take home 2k per month surely it's easy enough to put 400 away and if theres two of them doing that it soon mounts up.

No. I know of lots of people, earning very good money, who still cannot get onto the property ladder, because mumandad bank just doesnt have the funds to help.

Both of mine have got onto it, but not without massive effort.

When we bought ours, it was straight forward for the majority to purchase. Times have changed.

If I remember correctly I think I only put 1500 deposit down when I bought my first house....so glad I did it.
