After the initial hearing at his most recent prosecution he said:

His supporters used this statement to claim that he had never previously been allowed a jury trial. The implication being that the "system" was trying to prevent him having his day in court. Despite the fact that he has previously been convicted by a jury and on two other occasions he has chosen to plead guilty rather than face a jury.

Right. Let's accept he's had one jury trial and wasn't correct when he said he'd never had a jury trial (perhaps he'd forgotten about it since it was 14 years ago and he's had so many) And?
