Side taps and shower attachment woes

We have a bath which has the taps along the side and a pull out shower head.

The shower head “hose” is damaged and I think we need to replace it - but how? The other side of the wall is our en-suite so access from behind is possible, if not messy.

Could anybody point me in the right direction as to where the hose connects to the bath pipe work? And any other useful information.

I would have thought it branches off the pipework underneath and guessing there’s a diverter to press to operate? As for replacing, depends on length. Can you access it using what looks like an access hatch under the basin?

Not yet. The cupboard below the sink has side panels which I’m seriously thinking about making an access hole in it

Unfortunately the bath front (and side?) are tiled? Never a good idea, makes servicing a nightmare.

How is the shower attachment turned on, cant see a diverter. It has to be attached to the taps in some way though which presumably means that will be where the connection is. So it's either bath out or come in from the back really.

What wall type, is it framed and plaster boarded?
