No that's for the filter. I need one like this:
What is the change to bio fuels?I would be wary of using a nitrile o-ring in the long term, because of the change to bio-fuels. As a short term experiment it could be a valid thing to try.
I'm not sure what cribbing means but I simply want to buy an o ring. I'm not insisting on using an unsuitable one, but I'm not using bio fuels. The problem is I don't know what I need and they don't seem to be available without buying a new pump or stem.Whilst it is 'only an O ring', for the cost of the manufacturer's part, why are you cribbing?
It is essential that whatever you use needs to be resistant to bio fuels, which nitrile is not.
OK thanks. Yes I've gathered that engineers change the whole part, but I'm not an engineer I'm just someone fixing their own who simply needs an o ring. I'm not using bio fuels.HVO (hydotreated vegetable oil) bio fuel has been available for some time.
Most new oil boilers for the last 5 years come hvo ready.
Running boilers on hvo is claimed to make them up to 80% cleaner. Running on a mixture with standard kero also reduces emissions.
Answer to your 0 ring availablity issue is service engineers (ourselves included) would change stem or probably pump to avoid call backs.
