Worcester 12/18 danesmoor oil schmelly when operating

Thanks for all your replies. Removing the GOK has done the trick..fuel fumes now gone.
 
A quick read shows a manual vent on the top of the GOK that is only opened while commissioning it but doesn't show any other type of venting as far as I can see, the released air is then injected through the burner?
 
Yes, I bled the s..t out of the pump and laterly the GOK. I did purge some air from it but the fuel after drip persisted. I had fuel drip and moisture behind the brass air deflector washer thats behind the nozzle too (std on the Worcester 12/18).
That old post from 2004 I re-posted previous might have some worth. Fixed my issue so I at least am convinced by the outcome..Its still fine now some days after. With the boiler just doing the water for now, the frequency of firing/pausing is increased over that when Heating demand is applied and the time between firing/pausing is much greater. That made the problem worse as it would drip more often obviously.
