Hi All

My outdoor motion detector/PIR unit that switches the outdoor lighting on/off is not working at the moment , so I would like to bypass the unit so that I just switch the lights on and off from the indoor light switch which currently feeds power to the unit.
Is there a way to wire this with the existing wiring as shown in the picture?

I can replace with a new unit, but for now I just need to manually switch them.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Put the brown and grey with brown sleeve together

Treble check the black (gong to blue) is definitely the neutral first...

And with the power off obviously

@pete01 , Thanks for your quick reply. That's really helpful.
I did test the blue with a "non contact" voltage pen with the power off from the switch, and all cables are dead. (Obviously live when switched on)
But will now check with a volt meter to be sure.

Thanks again.

You REALLY do need to understand that which is "going on" - with your PIR "Motion Detector".

It is supplied with 230 V AC (via a Line and Neutral conductor)
and
switches the "Line Conductor" to a "Switched Line" Conductor, when required.
Black from the device (in this case)
to Grey (in this case).

However, the "Switched Line" conductor from such a device is often colored Red.

Also, stop using a "non contact" voltage pen for such tests.
Obtain a (Cheap) "Low Impedance" "Analog" Multimeter !
