Can someone please help me to put my mess right?
I have painted a wall with Dulux Trade emulsion. First coat was fine but now the second coat put on 3 days later is patchy and flashed in many places.
I used a Purdy 3 inch brush (please don't tell me to use a roller - I just can't get on with them at all - even though I used a purdy roller sleeve). Obviously from the second picture i know that i have put too much paint on as you can see the brush marks - but how can I put this right please?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you absolutely do not want to use a roller, either thin the paint or use an additive such as Floetrol to help you maintain a wet edge.

So do i rub down all the wall or just the bad patches please?

If you are concerned about the differences in the sheen levels, just paint. If you want to reduce the depth of the brush marks, you will need a light sand with 180 grit sandpaper.

Have you tried one of those sponge things. Not tried them myself but my daughter uses them and gets good results.
