How to correctly paint with a roller

Can someone please point me or give me a link how to paint with a roller??
I am using Dulux Trade Diamond Matt and I am having terrible trouble. I am using a purdy roller 3/8 nap - its so patchy

Can someone advise please?

Patchy sound as though it's drying too quickly, but watch this for anything you are missing.

Do you have a significant colour change? Sometimes need 3 coats before the patchiness disappears
