I've been trying to find a picture of the back of a grohe wall hung pan to compare mine to. I was sure it was faulty but now the replacement is the same and surely it can't be a faulty batch and I've got 2 of them?

Both are dripping from the flush pipe just where I've marked it in red on the picture with the pipe inserted, takes about 10 to 15 mins to start then a continuous slow drip. I've tried 2 grohe flush seals both with the same problem.

I think the problem might be the pan is drilled wrong. The hole for the flush at the back of the socket is offset upwards, so the flush pipe holds 1cm of water constantly. Surely it should be dry except when flushing? The funny thing is the offset of the hole is exactly set so that it matches the top edge of the pipe. If you switched it 180 degrees it would match the bottom edge and drain perfectly. I wonder if there is a batch of these where someone drilled them with a jig the wrong way round?

Anyone fitted one of these and remember what it looked like from this angle? What do you think, faulty or just a stupid design?

Is your flush pipe at a skewed angle going into the pan?

Is it under any stress?

To stop it leaking, I'd be adding plumbers mait to the ribs of the flush cone.
Or maybe silicone.

A plumbers job is to make things connect together and be leak free... This is where experience and tricks of the trade come in... You have to do what you have to do!

As for the pan moulding, I guess that's a question for the manufacturer!

All going on straight, it's a wall mount frame so everything is aligned by that so positioning is spot on. They leak even just testing it not on the wall so something seems to be up.

Waiting to hear back from the manufacturer, was just interested if anyone has any recollection of what their one looked like. Just seems weird to have 2 pans both leak with 2 different seals.

I guess I'm the common factor, so either I'm doing something wrong or there is a batch issue with these pans. Can't see what I'm doing wrong it's a pretty simple connection and I've checked it thoroughly. Sure I can use a sealant on it, but it really shouldn't need it, it's not meant to be used on these.
