Hi All
I have a bit of old kit which has a rechargeable battery, but I have no charging lead.
Can anyone identify the connector from the attached pics?
Its a 12v battery I'm charging.
The OS diameter of the connector is approx 15mm.
Its a screw in type, not bayonet.
Cheers All
Doug

The 2 pin one in the photo appears to have locating slots and pegs so that you can only install it with the polarity being one way round.

Thanks all
I've now purchased a suitable SP13 connector.
Just need to establish which is +ve and -ve for pins 1 and 2 to wire up the charger.
Unfortunately the battery is in a sealed box so unable to see its wiring arrangement.

Is there a standard convention for possibly 1 = +ve and 2 = -ve?
Cheers

I would not think there is an infallible convention.
What voltage does a DC multimeter show on the pins of the underwater vessel?

You could perhaps ask the supplier/maker? https://www.arkmodel.com/contact_us.php

FWIW my wife's power wheelchair batteries have pin1 of a 3-pin XLR as +ve and pin 2 -ve for the charger input. BUT the output male 2-pin pin connector to the chair (unmarked numbers on the battery connector) in GX16 form has +ve on pin 2 and -ve on pin 1 if it would mate with your socket and keyway numbering.
All the pins/sockets are 'live' and showing the expected 24V via my multimeter.

My multimeter is showing -0.21v dc when connecting pos to pin 1 and neg to pin 2.
And +0.21v when leads are swapped.

Will go with pin 1 -ve and pin 2 +ve

I've also sent an email to the model website.

Cheers

I'm not sure how you know what kind of charger to use. The vendor seems to consider a 'smart charger' to be essential (whatever that may be). I also didn't understand how you are showing the battery photo if it's inside a sealed unit.

The battery pic is that of the ground station suitcase which is accessible.
The pic of the 2 pin socket is that of the remote ROV.
Both use the same charger, which I have and it fits ok to the ground station.
But its the adapter to connect to the ROV which is missing.

I'm happy with the connectors now. It just how to get the polarity correct.
