The point your missing is Brig' already showed you knew the answer to that particular q., so it could generously be inferred you were prompting further conversation on the subject...or simply trolling. The fact you got your panties in a bunch suggests the latter.

As regards N.I. all people should be held accountable for their 'excesses' (as you call the murders), because humanity has a place in every situation...

I agree with all you have said, they are not acting as police in normal duties. They are doing a specific role. The lesson to be learned is not to interfere with their role and accept the consequences if you do. Leave them to get on with the task at hand.
