Would Starmer campaign for Reform?

Burnham needs a seat but must be patient. He can’t get past the first hurdle (NEC permission) let alone the others, so this is more about pressurising the party via public opinion. It’s a far rage style “the people have spoken” campaign. Ivor has fallen for it.
Could he stand as an independent, and defect to labour if he wins ? He would be like Kahn, voted in as the person, not the party.

He's biding his time, he’s got until Starmy (probably) loses in 2029 but a seat now would mean he can move very quickly if circumstances require. The PM is entitled to feel the Manc Mayor is being deeply disloyal given the good work he’s doing atm on the international stage.

If Sadiq Khan is responsible for London being a ****hole, then so must Burnham be for Manchester. The past couple of nights in the centre of Manchester there has been 'largely peaceful demonstrations', I.e. hordes of foreigners stabbing one another whilst the police stand by.

This feller gives a good insight into real life in manchester...

I watch Charlie Veitch a lot, he is very funny and very astute. It is said that his videos forced Burnham to clean up Picadilly Gardens.

Many corners of the city of Manchester appear to be abandoned, as if the authorities have long since stopped clearing up the litter, broken glass and vomit.

Charlie doesn't do so many videos from there now, there have been too many death threats against him.

He does some good stuff. He's funny, but he is very one-sided regarding anything about Israel.

There again, the pro-israel lot aren't marching on the streets waving flags, that's only the pro-palestine lefty muppets, so they deserve it.

Burnam's seeking permission to become a candidate for the by election. Starmy would be mad to allow him, it would be a sign of weakness and that he thinkshe's going to lose badly in the May locals. But Andy wins either way. Slow but sure wins the race.

You always seem to have a good handle on politics. Last time Burnham was touted as leader, MPs and the public thought he was a bit rubbish. Why is he seen as the saviour this time.

He’s a PR politician, a kind of left wing Jennrick, and left national politics when he lost the leadership and Corbin took over. But he’s used his position as mayor Manchester to stay in the public eye. He’s a brilliant performer in front of the cameras. He can’t win the 2029 election outright but being PM for a couple of years would satisfy his ambitions and he might reduce the impact of the Greens on the Labor vote. It was his policies as health minister that caused the higher mortality rate in mid staffs, so he has a ruthless streak. He didn’t seem to care that to get trust status hospitals had to sack the cleaners

He’s obviously a threat.
I'd love to hear Starmer try to explain why he's suddenly become a feminist at the exact moment Burnham says he's interested. All just a coincidence no doubt.
