I am always happy to admit I am wrong. Other posters have sometimes made fun of me for doing it. I have never been interested in winning an argument. I just want to have a grown up discussion.
Well pardon me if you look the complete opposite

I think the problem is that I am usually right. I mainly discuss topics where I already know a lot, like law and science. And I am happy to keep trying to help others get their heads round the bits they are struggling with.

I will be happy to admit if I am wrong. I might have missed the full post.

But as far as I can see, all Odds said was that they sounded like concentration camps.

And you turned around and claimed he was calling you a Nazi.

Where did Odds actually call you a Nazi, fascist etc.?
His guilty conscience torments him like the beating heart in the Rue Morgue.

I meant I enjoy being patient and helping others get to grips with complex issues which they are interested in and which I understand. And on the few occasions I am wrong, I will always admit it and thank the other poster for helping me learn something.

You may thank me now

I'm sure Biker remains eternally grateful. ;)

I am sure, too! But I don't think he would ever admit it.

He can be hard work sometimes. But I just try to take everything back to first principles, and then walk him through it a step at a time. Usually, we get there eventually. I actually enjoy doing it, although it would be nicer if he wasn't so aggressive.

You can imagine the conversation with his wife on the morning of the protest.

Him: See you later luv, just off to demonstrate and observe ICE and see if I can obstruct them and pizz them off.

Wife: OK Hun, Oh don't forget your gun.

Him: Ive got it and two full magazines too, just in case.

Wife: Don't forget it is legal to carry so good luck.

Him: Yeah can't see anything going wrong. See ya.

very sad, but why would you carry a gun and get in to a scuffle with someone who has the lawful authority to use deadly force if they feel their life is in danger.
