It has been a useful experience. I have learnt that some posters don't seem to want to have a sensible fact based discussion. They complain when basic facts are presented. In extreme cases, like yours, they will even argue over the meaning of a single word for more than a hundred pages.

Even I know what hot and in the pipe means. Mainly from watching hundred of episodes of Law & Order. But are you saying that posters shouldn't be allowed to do any research at all before posting. Should they be allowed to watch the news or read the papers. Will you enforce this rule when you are a moderator.
