Operation of a motobike lift table.

There are plenty of 230 V relays, no need for (extra) low voltage. L to key switch, from key switch to A1 terminal of the relay, neutral to A2.
True, but a SELV transformer could operate a 12V relay and run on any cable (almost) but bellwire or BT/Alarm cable best avoided.
Thanks fellas, but I wanted to avoid separate relays and radio controls etc. I'm not up-to-speed on those.
The thingy that Tigercubrider suggested from Amazon should do the job admirably, and I've got one on order.

Just ensure that the table is ok to be outside if it has electrics in it.
Our massive car sized lift which sits outdoors has a control box at the side with a waterproof enclosure
Your lift, if electric, may have been designed for internal use only.

It’s not an idea killer, just ensure that you can proof it (and power via an RCD)

It's outside and not waterproofed, but it is under a canopy, so protected from rain, etc.
It's rated at IP54, so it should be fine.
