Undersink instantaneous water heaters

Any one thinks any of these imagine there pretty rubbish but is just for light hand washing. Little inline ones that are like a bullet shape.

Instantaneous means in the main it will need a dedicated supply, but a small reservoir means the supply can be a lot smaller, so this

unit is only 1.5 kW so can be plugged into any socket, and do the same thing, I had one in a caravan I was living in, with a 1 kW element, and the cupboard it was in was cool, so the losses must be very low, so instantaneous Height / Width / Depth (mm) 185 x 130 x 75 and stored Product Dimensions ‎260 x 260 x 280 mm so it is size v running new cable.

For me, also means cost more for instantaneous, as uses more than the solar inverter can supply.

Tend to agree.

Prone to calcifying in hard water areas, and the kilowattage vs flow rate deternines the temperature rise.

Ok in some situations, I suppose.

I suppose when one thinks of a instantaneous water heater one means that the water only starts heating when there is a flow through the heater like a electric shower, there will obviouly be a small delay while the heating element itself heats up. The "boiling" HW taps are around 3.0 kW which will boil water at around a flowrate of 0.5LPM, but the other type like shown in post #5 (what is its power?) might only be designed to supply water at say 45C and will supply ~ 0.40LPM/kW,

3.5kW so ~ 1.43LPM at 45C & 0.91LPM from water at its very coldest winter temp of 5C, wonder what happens if you throttle the flow right down to a trickle, does it just run hot/cold then like a electric shower when its TCO (thermal cut out) operates?.

It has a three pin plug in the photo which won't do. It will need its own dedicated electric supply, it can't be plugged in..

It has the Flex coming off the unit. Without the plug attached at present
