Salary Sacrifice EV

I have had 3 EVs now and my absolute favorite is my BMW hybrid, best of both worlds, electric for driving locally and helps on long journeys extending my range and MPG. I would have no hesitation in reccommending a hybrid to anyone.

For shorter journeys and local runabouts the EV saves a lot on fuel and road tax, but if your journeys are a mixture of long runs and short runs then the Hybrid is my choice.

I can’t see the point of hybrid, neither one thing or the other.
My BMW has settings in it that I can either use it on electric only for local runs, or I can use it to extend my range where the computer takes over and cuts the engine in and out when needed or I can set it for when I reach citys or ULEZ areas and it switches to electric.

After 200 miles of driving I need a break anyway. And can get a 100 mile charge in 15 minutes

How often do you need to drive 200 miles +?

My 435d can do 50mpg. It’s 10 years old.

Isn’t Msport a trim level? My 4 series is msport it has 3 metrosexual stripes on the grill I can’t get off

Not often, but the point being we limit ourselves with the EV as you can knock up the range quite quickly in cold weather and raining etc where you use battery power on lights, wipers, heaters etc.

Bit older but I like it...

Public rapid chargers can charge in as little as 30 mins to 1 hour.
After driving the full range of an EV, (300 miles, 4.5. to 5.5 hours) most people will naturally take a break.
I take one every 2 hours, and rarely need more than 1 break.

Also modern batteries do not have a memory, you can charge a partially charged modern battery, or partially charge a battery without creating any memory effect.
