Starmer didn't make a choice - he dithered and sat on the fence like he always does and by the time he offered support it wasn't wanted anymore.
Yep, he did. Like other European leaders, he does not support Trumps/Bibi's war with Iran.
If he is compelled to defend British interests, so be it.
