Trump Calls On Starmer...

Trumpf is looking for us to help him lose the war. not win it, do he can blame someone else. Let him have our minesweepers then tell him to FO.
I'm no supporter of Trump, cannot stand the guy, but at least he makes his mind up and cracks on.
More U turns than the Highway Code

This guy:

"The US national counterterrorism chief has resigned in protest at the war with Iran. US army veteran Joe Kent said in his resignation letter to Donald Trump that he “cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people”.

That's a pretty damning account of the US war with Iran, right there. World leaders around the globe will be seeing this as a highly visible condemnation of the war, from one of his own. Very damaging for Trump, especially this early on in the proceedings.

The pro-Israel lobby, like filly and highwayman, want the rest of the world to join Israel's war, on Israel's side.

But just because US is Israel's poodle, does not mean that the rest of us have to be Trump's poodle.

The idea that Trump is our ally and we should do whatever he says has little strength.

Thank the Lord we have strong (non-rapist) leaders over here.

When his most senior counter-terrorism official resigns, saying he.....

"cannot in good conscience" support the Iran war and claiming the country posed "no imminent threat" to the United States....

...normal folk listen. This is not some middle of the road, hand wringer either.

This war is owned by the fat orange rapist nutter and him alone. Barmy Bibi and the other surrounding fruitcakes will always lob missiles at each other.

Trump has convinced himself that a career in playing golf, and bankrupting casinos, gives him a world-beating expertise in diplomacy, world trade, and warfare.

What a shame those bone spurs prevented him achieving victory for his country in Vietnam.

Seems like the US is in trouble...

"The world’s largest aircraft carrier is setting sail to Crete"

"The $13bn warship is in dire need of repairs following a fire onboard that left sailors injured and destroyed hundreds of sleeping quarters, while the toilet system is said to have broken down"

But didn't he say NATO was in 'big trouble'?

I recently heard a retired senior RN officer being interviewed on R4 about the toilet problems. IIRC, in a no-tech-or-expense-spared design they went for some small-pipe, non-gravity system with pumps.

Apparently it's a total 'mare - most of the "heads" out of operation, washrooms flooded with "brown water"....

We owe him as our ally which like it or not they are our biggest and most powerful one that we have.

Trump is friendly to those he sees as he real allies.

Not to us.

To Netanyahu and Putin.

"For now, the Iran conflict is an unintended US gift to the Kremlin. Higher global energy prices and greater demand for Russian oil are delivering a hefty windfall. The FT has calculated that Moscow is earning up to $150mn a day in extra budget revenues from taxes on oil sales, and could earn $3.3bn-$4.9bn by the end of March. Russia has not yet recouped what it lost from low oil prices and a lack of sales to India — mostly due to US pressure — in the first two months of the year. But its projected March gain amounts to roughly a third of its monthly spending on its war on Ukraine.

Rising prices have also prompted the US to temporarily relax some oil sanctions by allowing countries to buy Russian crude stranded at sea. This regrettable decision not only provides further funds for Moscow but punctures western solidarity. It fuels Putin’s narrative that the west, especially the US, is not ready to take real pain to support Kyiv.

The Iran war is at the same time sucking up weapon supplies, above all air defences, that are vitally needed by Ukraine. Every Patriot missile sent to protect US targets and Gulf partners from Iranian counter-attacks is one that cannot end up in Kyiv. European partners fear Ukraine could face serious shortages in coming months."
