Funny how they didn’t land this time……

Did they set off, with the intention of making it a landing expedition - The answer is a definite NO! Rather it was a shake down test of an entirely new delivery system, previously, it had been a very risky race, to actually be the first land on the moon. This time around, a moon landing had already been done.

Attempting a landing, would likely double the risk of failure, and for what purpose?

Why bother faking six separate lunar landings? And then apparently they lost all the telemetry from every one of those missions, plus Apollo 13.

The first was the fake the others were real once the race was won.
 
It would have been much simpler to say the landing was fake if Trump had been the president. However on the side of the non believers there is a good reason for them to have faked it as they wanted to win the space race against Russia and China. I wouldn't put it past them by todays standards but I believe they did actually land on the moon,
