1. A rubber "sucker" like the tip of a child's bow and arrow or the suction cup of a hook. (E.g. Wickes Clear 40mm suction hooks)
2. Thin layer of cold water and an ice cube.
3. If it is a "pop up" waste with an operating lever behind the taps, push the operating spindle up fron the underside of the basin.
4. As jj4091

Thanks both...

I dont have any sort of sucker... and it feels REALLy jammed.... so i dont think a sucker would work anyway... i thought about super glueing something to it and pulling it! (but havent tried it yet).

poured hot water on it and it did start to jiggle abuot a bit... but now i think ive made it worse as it isnt jiggling...
theres not a lever behind taps regretfully

Im not sure how to take the waste out from underneath - do i need to take the entire unit off the wall?

What you haven't explained is the type of stopper - is it the type which you press, and it is supposed to pop up, or is it the type where you operate a pushrod/button, by the tap?

Isn't there any loop/projection/whatever that you could grip with pliers or insert a coat-hanger-wire hook into?

not sure what is meant by "isn't there any loop/projection/whatever that you could grip with pliers or insert a coat-hanger-wire hook into?".... theres nothing obvious that i can see...

Repeated question.....

thanks but it is well and truly jammed in.... theres no way suction of that power would work... best i can think is to superglue something to it and pull!! but i havent found anything suitable yet!

we have a shark hoover that does not have an apt hose...
as mentioned unfortunately i dont have any sort of sucker....

I havent tried "Take the waste out from underneath" as i do not know how to do this

It might have jammed because they work on a type of ratchet that hooks on when closed then a spring takes the tension off and latch is released when you press down again ( difficult to put into words). Just undo the plastic waste pipe and there will be a large nut holding the rest into the basin which you unscew and then lift out the waste. If you have no access then you may need a plumber.
