why is loss of freedom of movement in eu seen as a big deal

I'm not. 'European union' and 'European' are two different things, just like 'Conservative Party ' and 'conservative' are two different things.
Getting the UK out of the EU was in part about trying to weaken European unity. That's why Putin was in favour of Brexit.

So all good then. You can still do what you could before and in certain circumstances be financially better off.

The minimum income requirements are slightly higher than minimum wage. It’s hardly a barrier
Clearly not everyone can, and it’s certainly not as easy as before. You’re not a stupid person, so please stop being ignorant.

Nobody is being ignorant. The fact remains most people can make it work. The idea that someone can just rock up in another country with a few quid/euros in their pocket as an economic migrant is why many wanted out.

Freedom of work, is great, free movement is nuts.

We had EU membership and the security that brought with it. Then we had Brexit inflicted upon us and immediately we had a vast increase in umbers of migrants arriving illegally by small boats. You can even map the date it all started, Like a gun going off.

Yep, the post Brexit freedom of movement is indeed nuts.

Brexit. - utter pile of useless dog turd.

Yeah, I bet you was. Bad news of any kind is your bread and butter. Must’ve made your day.

People do crappy things, and sometimes fate catches up with them.

It's called karma.

Like you were as happy as a pig in muck when you clocked the would be moped thief.

Some prefer to moan about things they think they can’t do, rather than make it work.
It’s just people being honest about Brexit.

Meanwhile, I wonder if they’ll put seats and water stations around passport contol zones around Europe this weekend?

£20K - £40K annually. That's some minimum wage.
Not available for those on minimum wage any way. How will they keep their job?
So we're looking at mainly retirees with 20K to £40k annual pension.
State pension is currently about £12k. (easily enough to sustain a pensioner in EU)
So a retiree would need an additional private pension of up to £28K annually.
You'd need a pension pot of around £500,000. You don't get that on a minimum wage.
