An unusual request.
I am testing a fix with my dishwasher and now need to provide it with cold water feed in my garage (where I have been servicing it). I have an outdoor tap in my garage and wondering if I can temporarily use this to provide this feed and for the appliance valve to connect here? This will save me cutting into the pipework and fitting an appliance valve.

Thanks for your help.

Washing machine pipe straight on tap to dishwasher or washing machine.

All the same.
Just screw on the outside tap with your hand

Edit
It's all 3/4-inch BSP (British Standard Pipe)

Yes - 3/4-inch BSP connector on a piece of 15mm pipe - the 15mm fits nicley inside your hosepipe usually. Put a small jublee clip on and away you go. Just make sure you flush out resident spiders & dust from hosepipe

a pic to help my understanding.

Can I cut of the connector on this hose and push the cut hose on the tap nozzle above?

I can put a jubilee clip on it too.

Have I understood this correctly?
