Any idea how to remove this hinge cover so I can adjust? It feels like it wants to slide up/down, but isn't actually budging. Equally it looks like it can be levered off, but doesn't seem to have enough flex.
Thanks

Sorry dont seem to get notifications of when I'm tagged...

Open the door , and i believe if you look at the hinge from the other side there is a clip you need to push to release the cover , may need to slide forward too. Might be a screw holding it in( which is easier lol )

Depends on which way you want to adjust. Looks like a Haps Colonial flag hinge, search this and you may find what you're looking for. The cover may need to come off with a hammer and striking implement, eg screwdriver or it may be a fixed type

Open the door and look behind the hinge, you may see a little grub screw or a small pozi screw, remove or loosen and it should release the front cover

Thanks everyone. Cover is off.
Bonus question:-)

The door is catching on the outside of the frame away from the hinge, so needs pulling on at the top on the hinge side.

However, it looks like I've already hit the max travel. The metal plate nearest the wall hits the hinge and it won't go any further.

Have I got any easy options to pull the door nearer the hinge side? Note I've already removed the screws from that metal plate and have now put the back as didn't seem to allow any more movement.

Thanks

Allen key in here and turn, should move the door sideways

Hi. Yes, it certainly does.
However it's at the limit of where it will move inward. The metal plate pushes up against the hinge as it is now, and won't go any further.

Is there anything else I can do to move the door nearer the hinge, or is it at its limit?

Thanks

I'm confused, why have you removed the 4 screws? I'd you removed them then tried adjusting the allen bolt all that will do is move the plate and not the door, put the 4 screws back in the original holes then adjust the allen bolt

As Crank says, leave the four screws in and then adjust with the Allen bolt. Not sure why you removed , or even touched, the four screws

Sorry for the confusion. The screws were left in and I tried adjusting the Allen bolt. The door does move. In fact I did this with the cover on.

However, it's doesn't go far enough and looks to be at the end of its travel. Hence removing the cover, and messing with the other screws to see if it would move.

Do I have any other options to increase the travel?

It may well be the door needs toe and heeling correctly, as whme the glass is packed correctly it will act like a ' bracelet ' . Check out youtube for videos. It may well be that before tou toe and heel the door you can loosen off that top hinge to allow for any future issues. It could also be the hinge is bent

Can you not move the plate to a different starting position, and then drill new holes?

OK, so if you look at my first 2 pictures the first one seems to have serated teeth on the hinge pin, I wonder if you have to lift the door off its hinges and shuffle it over another tooth or 2 and slide it back on, prehistoric hinge this is

Thanks all. All interesting ideas, but unless anyone knows for sure and it's an easy job I think I'd better leave well alone. I'm actually selling the property, door is working, just a bit annoying when it catches.
If it was an easy fix I'd have done it, but don't want to risk completely knackering it.
Thanks again
