My problems started with the boiler pressure increasing and causing an error that required releasing some pressure.
The expansion vessel and PRV value were replaced.
The issue returned and the inlet valves were replaced as suspected they may have been passing a small amount of water.
I then began to have a problem where the hot water would be supplied ok then after a min or so would fluctuate in temp or go cold. Sometimes switching the shower off and back it would be ok but very intermittent.
Blocked heat exchanger was a possibility so that was replaced.
The pipe from the heat exchanger to the DHW is known to block so that was removed and inspected but ok.
The flow sensor was replaced as this could have been the issue but still intermittent.
Vailant support advised plumber to check the pump and due to amount of water that was released recommended a new pump.
In the week before pump was replaced hot water had no issues. In the 2 weeks after the pump was replaced no issues.
The problem has returned - I probably should have bitten the bullet and exchanged the boiler but wondered if anyone has had any similar issues and has any advice?
Thanks
Rory

It happens with the shower or taps so I don’t think the shower value is faulty
It can still affect it, or another mixer. Basically the cold pushing the hot out of the way. Isolate the cold inlet to the boiler and test hot outlets including the shower.
