"Talks between Iran and the US in Switzerland were postponed due to Israel launching a wave of deadly air strikes on southern Lebanon, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Iran did not send a delegation to Switzerland for the nuclear talks because of the attacks, the people said. The interim agreement signed by the US and Iran on Wednesday stipulates the “immediate and permanent termination” of fighting, including in Lebanon.

“The Iranians have asked for guarantees that hostilities in Lebanon will end, as outlined in the signed agreement, and mediators are currently working to resolve the issue,” a diplomat with knowledge of the matter said.

Israeli air strikes overnight and into Friday morning hit more than 10 villages across southern Lebanon, killing 18 people and wounding 33, according to the Lebanese health ministry."

Not surprisd, Fourth Reich in action
Israel doesn't like being compared to other countries whose regimes were founded on ethnic hatred, who invade, occupy and destroy neighbouring nations of other ethnicities, and force people of other races into ghettoes, which they then destroy.

No surprises there, a extremist genocidsl regime the world is witnessing will one day meet the same fate.

Israel wants to continuously expand its territory.
That annoys people so they shoot at it. Hardly surprising.
So it tries to bomb the whole area where the shots come from, and so on. The area expands.

Israel keeps breaking what passes for "international law" by expanding. It should go back to its 1948 borders.
Certainly they should not be in Lebanon. They can't claim they need it as a buffer. Any time now, half the world will be able to send swarms of drones thousands of miles. Bombing whole areas of civilians is not a solution.
Israel, and IME Jews generally, seem to think they're special. Nope.
They're a severe case of being motivated by religious arrogance, rather like the more radical Muslims..

Iran is supporting Hamas. That is not OK, the're acting very much as a Terrorist organisation.
So I have quite a lot of sympathy with the Trump agenda, but it's one-sided.

Iran does not have the right to restrict access to the Straight of H. Half the waterway is Omani national waters, not Iranian.

If Iran behaves itself, then it would seem appropriate to give them back the seized money - slowly and with conditions.

Iran has the ability to destroy a lot of the oil, gas, and clean water producing assets in the area, as well as make a nasty bomb - we don't really know how nasty.

So until someone more powerful, be it Trump or the international community, is able to make life so difficult for both sides that they are better off if they withdraw their ambitions and unacceptable behavour, I think there is zero chance of progress.

That's a good assessment imco, in my opinion Israel should surrender a large part of the West Bank that they've occupied. This won't happen for two reasons.
1. Israel has occupied too much land over too long a period.

2. Palestine have rejected a two state solution too many times over too long a period.

I really don't know what the solution is.
