Water board sent letter smart meter showing 11 baths full of water flowing through house day n night since May 2025, it's the 22mm it seems. The pipe goes right angle on wall. Can't see how I can insert a connector. Best fix anyone please?

Don't know, noticed water bill was spiking, it's under floorboards below bathroom vanity unit. This country is screwed, letter posted 17th June recieved 3 July, and a year too late!

Taken 3 days to find it. Cut thro' tiles n floorboards to get access

If this 22mm pipe (or maybe a joint on it) is leaking, then you have no alternative but to get it repaired, whatever the access problems might be. With the amount that is apparently leaking, it not only will give you high bills but it might also be undermining your house foundations.

The fix will be to cut out the leaking section of pipe, or remove the leaking joint and replace with new pipe or a new joint, or both.

Acess is sorted now, but I can't flex the pipe to get a connector in, it branches off vertically to the bath tap.

So you noticed the water bill was spiking so it’s your fault not to investigate earlier

The postal issue is irrelevant imho

It's not a joint it looks like a hole in the pipe. How I don't know no work in that area, plus it's from the side no drills or nails from there. Still 90% of work done I found the %9$$#&!

Murdo I'm a window cleaner water fed pole system, use an RO. Thousands of litres, filling up the van every day, plus just put it down to cost of living going up. If you are a plumber why not offer a solution instead of trying to make me look stupid?

Cut a section out and use slip couplings to repair it, the idea being that the couplers can be slipped the whole length along the pipe, you then line pipe ends up and pull coupler halfway up so it joins both ends. Then solder up.

Soldering with a slip coupler would always be the best but if you're diy'ing then a compression slip coupler may be the solution for you.

If you’d added your trade in the OP I wouldn’t have commented at all.
