So word has it Tories, Labour, LibDems and Restore are not going to stand in the Clacton by-election. Would be funny if it was just him and Lord Buckethead.
Even if Farage wins he's going to look like a total moron.

Because HMRC doesn’t count cash gifts as income, you don’t usually need to pay any income tax on gifts received from parents, grandparents or any other friends and relatives.

So farage is in the clear as regards to that then

You may be thinking of inheritance tax. If it’s over a certain amount and the person that gifts it dies within 7 years. It’s a sliding scale too 40% within 2 years reducing to 10% in year 7 or something like that.
