I think Ive done my ribs

I know. I am absolutely furious. I have hayfever and couldn't read the bottom two lines on the board. My eyes wouldn't focus. She passed me on the medical but failed me on my eyes. Embarrasing to say the least. She said I am a strapping fit lad and she admired the rest of my body, just not so great eyes
No one can read the bottom line - its put there to find aliens who can.

Can't you just use - one of your brighter light bulbs?

Can you take the test again?
I am sure it was the problem, every eye test I have had uses a dimmer light and an iluminated board, this was just stuck on the wall with a bright room and a ceiling light above it. I couldnt make out the bottom two lines at all. I can go back and take another or go to ann optician to retake the test, I think I will go back as it might look bad to DVLA if I go elsewhere. The whole medical was a bit dodgy in my opinion.

Actually I was being facetious... (shock horror)

Go somewhere else.
The same place, has a reason to fail you again - to justify their procedures....
An independent optician whom you are paying your £50, will be motivated to see you get a fair test, and if necessary maybe give you a bit more time, etc. My eyes water quite a lot, if I dry them I can see a little better.

Booked in with spec savers to have the eye test portion of my medical, I passed the medical flying colours but dont fancy going back to the drivers medical place as it looked a bit of a scam to me. only accept cash etc. The Dr even made a mistake on my form by spelling her name wrong, then didn't know the contact tel No. Very unproffesional.

Had x-ray. Says no crack.
I.still suspecting a fractured as im in pain.

There is something clicking. But the x-ray says "no break"

What for? Telling the truth?

FFS (in caps, so you can read them) ...... ;-)
No it was a dodgy setup and in my opinion a scam. I have never failed anything in my life medical wise. I do not believe she was a Dr either.

Our daughter had something similar a few years ago and thought she had broken a rib or damaged a lung. Turned out she had damaged a chest muscle by overdoing it at the gym. Strangely enough, I had the same symptoms not long after her when I tried helping out with pushing a Land Rover out of a ditch on one of the shoots. I would get a sharp pain if I tried taking in a deep breath. Took a good six to eight weeks to clear up.

go to an optician. Their opinion would be classed expert rather than a general medical eye exam.

How does needing reading glasses affect your ability to drive?
