How does needing reading glasses affect your ability to drive?

Well it doesn't, but the rules are that as a hgv or coach driver, To qualify for a UK Group 2 HGV (lorry or bus) licence, you must achieve a visual acuity of at least 6/7.5 (decimal 0.8) on the Snellen scale in your better eye, and at least 6/60 (decimal 0.1) in your other eye
Aparantly that is the bottom line of the chart, I have always passed this easily.

I have uncovered a massive scam here, I know she wasn't a Dr and she is mascarading as one, she had to keep ringing a Dr up on her phone and sending me out of the examining room whilst she rang him, she referred to him as the boss.

She also couldnt spell her name in the Drs box on the form, she couldn't fill in the contact phone number either of the surgery and put the area code in for Manchester only. She didn't know how to fill out the form D4 that I had and in most parts it was unreadable

You not being able to meet a standard (read certain lines) doesn't need a doctor to confirm this.

If it was illegible, that would lead most to the conclusion that she was indeed a doctor

Nonsense, only two weeks ago I undertook a much deeper eye test from our firm and no issues. also she didnt have a clue what I am supposed to be able to read either. She had a pre filled out D4 form that she had in front of her and had to keep lookingg at it and copying it onto my form. She asked my weight and height and I gave her them in old money, she didnt know how to convert it into Kg and metres

Without glasses, I don't wear glasses and I have made an appointment with spc savers who will prove this, they will be able to finish off my D4 form on the eye test as she couldn't. The whole thing was a scam.

I have uncovered a huge scam with this, I am going to take it further. This is all about money and is being run by a set of scammers and I bet anything that they may have a Mr big on the end of a phone who is a registered Dr but the ones who are undertaking the exams are not Drs at all and conning people.

yes apologies. I do actually have one called DVLA eye test. Sorry for this.

You don’t. That was my weight. She needed to convert stones to kg and my height in feet and inches to metres. I did it for her on my phone
