DVLA eye test

Exactly the same as the chap who has been booted from being a professor at Oxford. Its a scam and the public are being exploited by some loop hole no doubt or actually illegal all together. These places have pop up medical centres all over the country. It's like organised crime.

Passed my eye sight test with 6/6 in each eye, the DVLA insists of a minimum of 6.75 for HGV drivers. So my eyes were perfect as I knew they would be, all forms now completed and ready to send off in the morning. Fuming isn't the word !!!!!!

You don't tell someone who looks like me to wear glasses when I don't need them. Complaints are going in.

Got an appointment to see Emma Hardy MP about my my amazing under cover DVLA medical scam. I will probably end up on the TV

OMG I went for my D4 DVLA medical as my LGV entitlement had run out. I needed a medical to get the entitlement put back on my licence as I have volunteered to join and drive a gritter for the winter gritting team. As the fittest member on here and at my firm it was expected as just a walk in the park. I couldnt read the bottom two lines off the snell chart. I am now booked in at spec savers to complete the eye test. OMG how embarrassing. Has anyone done this before?

Sorry, couldn't be arzed to read all of the replies... nevertheless... just prior to the covid pandemic, my stepfather was advised that his peripheral vision had decreased. My big sis contacted DVLA and asked if he was legally allowed to continue driving. They told her that an optician needed to verify that he was safe to drive and to provide paperwork to confirm it. In part, because of the pandemic, it took the DVLA a year to admit that no such test exists for non-commercial drivers.

Anywho, hope you got things sorted.
