A plane carrying Daniel Kinahan, Ireland’s most wanted criminal and alleged to be one of the world’s most notorious drug traffickers, landed at an airbase near Dublin on Sunday after being extradited from the United Arab Emirates.

Ireland sent its government jet to Dubai to return Kinahan after he lost a legal battle to avoid extradition. He is expected to appear later on Sunday at the state’s anti-terrorist Special Criminal Court, where he will be charged with directing organised crime.
