Ok , so I was changing my showerhead and noticed this small spring and nut stuck in the filter. I assume it’s some kind of internal valve that has come apart.

As you can see it’s a mixer shower with a rain fall and hose shower. We only use the rain fall shower so maybe from the hose shower. (Note) we noticed that the temperature can’t be changed as it always come out hot. Easy fix or full replacement?

Could be part of the shower valve/cartridge or could be a flow regulator on the head broken (if applicable).

Almost looks like an NRV but the spring looks a bit mighty for that, either that or it may be like a click stop, have the controls changed their action at all?

Looks like the wax capsule which is part of the temperature control, shouldn't be too hard to swap if you can find the correct one.

Just that it no longer goes cold if you turn the mixer. Stuck on hot
