It is advised against using inaccessible plastic fittings. Hep2o and frankly all plastic pipe suppliers would be out of business otherwise. Natural gas is always soldered copper and yes fittings must be accessible

Most properties are now caberdeck or some such.
I've had them up and back down again and used copper... To replace the plastic that the place(s) was/were built with.
Coz at the end of the day it's not really a safety issue but no fun for the homeowner if a fitting fails... Which they do! I'm seeing more and more o rings that have just disintegrated to black mush and bits.
That 15mm 3 way plastic fitting isn't tightened on the right hand side. And overall not enough pipe clips
Saw that wow. Is any in line isolation valve allowed on heating pipework? Would be very useful for myself to avoid draining down the pipework.Couple locking nuts not locked there

Well once I've finished enlarging, repositioning and rehanging the rads to timber (as opposed to plasterboard as they are now) and redone all the rad tails and redone and few inserts, then I need to consider. If I put another magnetic filter on the bathroom rads and leak sealer in the pipework (which should seal pinhole leaks) the chances of leaks from that point onward are small. Usually badly cut pipe with jagged edges leads to damaged o rings
The above job was completed 15 years ago but 3 weeks ago they went from a gravity fed system to a combi.

That's a different matter.
I'm referring to fittings, that I'm demounting to make pipework alterations, and finding they have failed internally... Practically fall apart when pipe is removed.
Worst ones were 28mm Hep2o elbows.
You can hang rads on plasterboard using the correct fixings.
It depends on the size and type of rad.
Timber grounds are always preferred but not always feasible.
You wanna try hanging them on paramount partition board! That's fun! Lol.
