Fat lot of good the scheme seems to be doing though.

The whole things getting out of hand, there aren’t enough prison places to take back those released early who have reoffended.

Said on R5L earlier that we have the highest prison population (by some measure that I don't recall) in Europe, and also the highest reoffending rate.

A self-sustaining - if not actually feeding - situation.

Which makes the fact that those most vocal about banging people up are also the most vocal about not paying more in tax
