Just been on the news that the Argy's will be trying for the Falklands again. Trump won't help us as we didn't help him with Iran. My prediction is correct after all then. We can't afford to defend them and we cannot assemble a task force like we did in the eighties. The argy's know this and looks like Trump will encourage them. Doesn't look good.

Falklands defences are stronger than they were in ‘82. 1200 - 1500 troops, 4 typhoon jets, air defence and submarines! The argies dont like submarines for some reason. Its political deflection because their economy is down the tubes and next year is an election year.

Not enough for a long campaign, re supply would be near on a task in itself. The cost of it along with supplying Ukraine would be vast, Trumps administration ending in 2029 means that now is the best time for any strike by them. How well they can put up a fight is debateable.

Argentina will be shadowed by the Russians.

Our subs will blow the Argentinians out of the water. The Russians will simply pick up the pieces shadowed by our subs.

They are playing big balls as they think Russia is behind them . After a couple of sunken boats they will see that Russia is as tough as Iran was when emptying their threats against Israel.

The UK doesn't really need a task force. They only need to get me over there and stand on the beach, no Argy's will be volunteering to try to land. FACT

Doesn't need to be a long campaign just hold out long enough to get reinforced. Make no mistake although our armed services have been reduced over the years they are still a professional force to be reckoned with. I would back our troops, Navy, army and air force against any fighting force.

I did 10 years in the army so I know we are capable but the funding and cuts with spending have weakened us. Even maneuvers. and exercises have been greatly reduced to cut costs.
