Hotpoint Aquarius WMA35 problem with soap drawer

Hi all,

All of a sudden my washer has started to leak bubbles from the soap drawer. If I do not put any detergent in the soap drawer and place it in the drum it is okay.

Anyone got any suggestions on how I can fix?

Take the drawer out and give the housing and drawer a good clean. There is a small blue strip at the back of the drawer that you push down to enable the drawer to be pulled right out.

there may be an adjustable flap at the back on the right hand side , make sure this is not down as this is used for liquid detergent and can cause your described problem if used with powder

You cannot use LIQUID or TABLET detergent in these washers as the manual states ... It will foam up ur dishwasher ... you have to now clean out the washer as much as possible and run the cycle a couple times with vinegar dilluted in water ... this should clean out most of the foamy soap.

after that ONLY USE POWDER DETERGENT!!!!!!

3) why go to all the bother of finding an old post and then give wrong info?
