Hi

I have acquired a lovely dining table with six chairs, only problem is, it is a lighter shade than all the other furniture in the room. I would like to darken it a degree or two if possible but sanding down and staining is too big a task.

Is there a polish/wax/anything available that will gradually stain/darken the wood with regular use? -without having to go through the whole sanding down process?

Can anyone recommend a product, I guess I could give it all a gentle rub with a fine sandpaper if necessary.

Thanks.
:)

similar to the other furniture!!!

No. The colour of the dining set is even, it is in very good condition. I would darkening all the visible wood.

i was just wondering if a table cloth was a constant feature preventing the natural toning process!!!!

your results will fully depend on what the table is treated with in the first place

try some propriety polish remover in a hidden area to see what happens!!!

how old is it and what sort of wood? High gloss finish or more of an open grain finish?
