Help...

One of the radiator's in my son's room is hot and there is no cold parts on the radiator, but the room does not heat up. The room is fairly well insulated, can anyone give any suggestions?

Also are there different bleeding keys for older houses / radiators?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply

The room is 15' by 11' approx, only one radiator in the room. The window is sash window but has a double glazing infront of it.

You need to state how big the existing radiator is

width and height

also is it single or double panel

does it have "fins" on any of the panels

On VERY rare occasions i have found different air bleed screws to normal

You say fairly well insulated, does it have cavity wall insulation, insulation above etc

Does sound like rad too small, but need the dimensions to be sure :)

if it is a flat panel rad with no fins on the back then change it for a newer one, convector radiators are much much better.
