Hi

My son has a small work unit on a farm with a metal roof. The condensation dripping down from the roof is a big problem. Is there a quick fix? I remember a spray on insulation but cant remember what its called and have no idea if its any good.

Thanks

it needs a ceiling to keep the moist indoor air away from the cold metal roof.

Yes but it hasn't got one...... anyone know if the spray foam will work? Its about £500 so would be good to get a heads up....

Its good when on but contains isocyanate catalyst for the curing process. The pro's use line-fed air to breath and auto-mix guns. If you have plenty of ventilation (alot) then it may be ok to spray with a vapour cartridge mask/goggles/rubber gloves. Just like your B&Q expanding foam it sticks like s**t to blanket so keep it off your skin!

Could try fixing some breathable felt under the roof. Making sure the edges go out under the eaves, this should act as a one way barrier.
The vapour will pass through the membrane, condense on the roof, drip down and run out over the walls.

I painted the underside of my asb. roof with bitumen paint. That was a mistake
