Help. My kitchen is full of condensation. Has happened in the last couple of days. The floor mounted ideal mexico boiler (service by British Gas in Nov) has a vent pumping out hot air into the kitchen. Is is supposed to? Have a cm monitor high up saying all is OK. Should I panic?

Above the boiler (floor mounted). On an inside wall. I think it vents through the chimney?

Do you have flue coming off top of boiler Sounds like bad backdraft and boiler spilling fumes..OFF NOW as dangerous and get them back

Flue going from boiler to chimney completely shattered. Not sure how this has happened! Will need to replace - not likely before Christmas. Really bad headache. Probably caused by fumes but cm monior not saying anything!! Thanks everyone at least we are still alive!

Initial products of combustion are CO2 and H20 and as you have proper ventilation you would not get CO for a while , thenwhen the contaminated air ( fumes)escaping into room are burnt again removing more oxygen from it and CO starts.
You may also have a faulty detector /headaches will be from fumes also chesty feeling and kids get wheezes asthma like symptons.

DON`T USE EVEN IF IT GETS FREEZING IT WILL KILL

Thank you. Have also been feeling wheezy for a couple of days and very sore eyes. Thought I had flu. Thanks for your help!!

Phone doctor - CO can linger in the body and need treatment.
or NHS Direct 0845 4647

No its boxed in. Had to unscrew plyboard to see it. Infact the British Gas Engineer signed it off as safe a month ago - I'm sure there is no way it could have been.
