Hah! The photos were taken by a "joint expert" who was appointed to inspect the shed / flue / problem in general. He was pretty useless but the photos were informative. No covert trespass here - all legitimate pics!
On further consideration, he could well be a local osteopath (or similar) who moonlights as an expert... He seemed blessed with a level of understanding of the law, and the implications of the various issues raised, equivalent to that of (say) a potato.

Appointed by who ? the solicitor ?
They provided a bill and a demand for payment for the "service" provided.
Appointed by the solicitors on both sides... that is why he is a 'joint' expert.
We may have been better off with marjuana....
