Bc in york say they need 75mm between the rafters along with triso.

HOWEVER if i go with a private building inspector (he used to be head of BC) then i can happily just use the triso.

this just seems crazy. one rule for one etc.

does anyone have any comment on this and should ibe looking to go with the extra insulation. the U value triso achieves just misses the target by 0.02 i think. seems a waste of money of putting kingspan between rafters just to make good this amount.

Unfortunately with Tri-iso you've hit the nail on the head, some inspectors will approve it others won't, it seems this happens all over the country. Have a search for Tri iso , plenty of threads on it.

there was a lot of fuss over tri-iso 9 and most BCOs were starting to say it wasn't up to regs but since tri-iso10 was introduced they have been saying it is ok, I would get back onto your local Bc and have a word with them.

On my last loft, couldn't use tri-iso but could use Thinsulux.
