    Thanks for your reply, I have a dummy box of the same make which on examning could see a small magnet in the top of the cover , is this like a reed switch ? if I took the magnet out and placed on the live box switch would this stop the alarm untill I have disconected it ?.

    I have just cut in a spirotect magna on the return pipe just above the boiler I took great care not to let any water into the boiler , but some always gets in. when I switched the boiler back on the fault lights read on on on . The boiler is a Baxi Solo HE 15. any help would be welcomed
