Update - so we've dug up the top later (ardex sandwich done wrong) and found a lot of patches where the original sand cement from 18 months ago is very friable (in a few places we can get down to the cement below about 80mm). Some areas seem okay however. The room has been sheeted and insulated...

I thought ardex NA has to be min 3mm?

@dazlight @crazydaze have discussed with the company and we think a solution might be to bash out any bossed bit and fill. Do another 20kg Ardex DPM1 over whole space and another layer of Ardex NA. Around the external door we frame in a low lying doormat, and at the other 5 opening we will...

RH was between 80-90. The Ardex rep took protimeter readings which were 250-400 (not sure what value; different from RH)

as in the sand cement? ....basically the plan now is to take it all up and somehow(???) stabilise the sand cement below and start again.....any advice so welcome for doing this as the guys really don't have a clue what they're doing and I can't seem to find anyone in the area who does...

Hi crazydaze - the cracks are very localised at either end of the room - about 2m long but only at points - I'm not so concerned about the cracks as they are obviously where they failed to fill the subfloor bossed parts properly so there's a little movement but it's under where the units are...
