Worcester 24i Junior noisy ignition persists after Bosch visits

For future reference, The Gas Company resolved this issue by replacing the ignition leads. Seems like the Bosch engineers didn't notice the leads were faulty.

Worcester 24i Junior noisy ignition persists after Bosch visits

Thanks for your reply. Landlord is the council. They call out The Gas Company who then call out Bosch. The Gas Company did a safety check recently but they couldn't observe the noisy ignition, so they're refusing to call out Bosch again. I'll get onto the council with your advice, cheers.

Worcester 24i Junior noisy ignition persists after Bosch visits

Question for gas safe engineers. My landlord has called out Bosch a few times over the past two years. They've changed the ignition contacts twice and also put in a new circuitboard. The last guy said there was "something at the back" and he "wedged something there". In spite of these efforts...

    Replacing an old ESPAG

I hadn't considered that, thanks. Only problem is I want to apply for insurance and they might not accept locking a window permanently but in a non standard way. I guess I could ask though.

    Replacing an old ESPAG

I'm searching in google for an espag but I can't seem to find one that meets the following criteria - Inline - Backset is 20mm - Plate is flat with two non moving mushrooms (plate moves) - Plate width is 13mm - Plate length is 600mm - Plate thickness is 3mm -...

Tanking basement wall with electric meter

sxturbo, unfortunately the ceiling is already as low as it can get. Raising the floor isn't an option unless the dpm, insulation and screed combined were less than 2cm. JohnD, it's a rental property, I'm just trying to get the humidity down for storage. There's also a workbench with brick legs...

Tanking basement wall with electric meter

I learned there's no need to tank the basement since the underlying walls are quite dry. It just needs an air exchanger. The floor is made of old stone slabs though and they've shifted so there's some largish gaps and cracks between some of them. It seems moisture rises from the earth below...

Tanking basement wall with electric meter

I'm planning on applying tanking slurry to this wall. Do I have to figure out a way to apply the slurry behind the electric meter and fusebox? I'm hoping there's an alternative like something I can inject behind the chipboard they're attached to. The chipboard is attached to some wood batons...

Anything cheaper or better than Watertite?

I know that's what I'm supposed to use for the join to the floor but I was told I can't use tanking slurry over the stone slabs because they'll just crumble. Will the fillet seal crumble if it's next to the slabs and epoxy?

Anything cheaper or better than Watertite?

Thanks. I'd ruled out tanking because I thought a fillet seal isn't possible with a stone floor. I was just going to use Watertite sealant where the wall meets the floor. What would happen if I did this? Will the fillet seal resist crumbling due to water under the slabs?

Anything cheaper or better than Watertite?

I plan on using Watertite on the walls of a moldy basement but it costs £65 / 5kg. I can see a few alternatives like Technoseal but they don't advertise as anti-mold. I also found a few negative reviews of Watertite. The floor is made of stone slabs that are always damp. Replacing the it isn't...

Washing machine hose stuck on P-trap

Sorry I forgot to say I've already loosened the clip. No amount of pulling and screwing is budging it.
