I have a "classic bond' once piece EPDM roof
I need to install an Ubbink extract ventilator through the roof.
The base of this ventilator kit has a EPDM flange- Looks as if is supposed to be heat welded
Can I seal / fix this any other way on the existing EPDM without using heat??
Thanks to all that have responded. Useful information.
An electrician will be consulted and on board , was just trying to evaluate things with groundwork etc really, ahead of the game.
I'll get a design size/calc done as advised
HI
what size & type of cable is required if putting sub mains to an annexe & a garage .
The main house is on external meter box
Garage & annexe to have their own supply and consumer unit fed back from just before the house internal consumer unit
(so all metered from main meter)
Not sure what...
Fair play re plug
- just trying simplify the 1st fix really to avoid a surface box
could I run from the 32a dp switch :
1x 6mm to single outlet plate for hob
1 x 2.5mm to a socket for oven to plug into
Small kitchen in a self contained detached annexe
Best way of connecting / cable sizing for an Oven & Induction 2 zone hob
Oven has plug on it and 2.2kw
Hob is rated at 2.8kw.
Is it best to run a 6mm to a single 32a dp switch , then a combined outlet plate behind oven
or is this overkill ?
So if timber kerbs are already built what flashing do I need to buy though??
Im obviously trying to avoid going above the 150mm (build regs) upstand height
We have a 15 degree pitched warm roof with Sarnafil.
It has 2 standard GGU MK06 Velux windows.
WHAT IS THE CORRECT FLASHING ???
Or Correct flashing method??
My carpenter has built the kerbs ready, to which the Sarnafil fitters have covered right over the top
I'm tired of going between Velux...
Apologies , for confusing things. I will put celotex between timbers, before plasterboard i believe i have to put a vapour barrier or foil backed plasterboard.
Im trying to avoid the cold bridging on timbers. I thought multi foil was ok as long as you had air gap one side. Therefore i thought...
Timber Frame annexe has cladding, battens, breather membrane, OSB, then 150mm timber frame wall
Inside:
celotex between studs
Then what's my best option as regards insulating, vapour barrier , service voids etc
A multi foil insulting vapor barrier seems a good idea ???
If constructing...
