    Boiler clearance

Im fitting myself a new kitchen and have a boiler that is currently between a unit (100mm away) and a wall (160mm away). I would like to fit a just door in front of the boiler but not an actual wall unit so it would still be open. Is this acceptable? What sort of clearance should I have from the...

    Lead welt help

Thanks for the link. I appreciate that a pro would give a better finish but being as I don't (can't) work full time then doing it my self is the best I can do. I can get a reasonable finish with the flat welt but how do I turn the lead up against the wall whilst a clip is in the welt.

    Lead welt help

I have some lead that I need to replace due to it being damaged. It is very similar to this picture except that its straight and not on a fancy building like that. From what I see the lead with the upturn is joined by folding (am I right in it being a welt?) It also has a piece of lead in the...

    Boiler won't light (Ideal Icos)

Well I replaced the sparky bit so it would seem to rule the electrode and wiring harness out. I don't think I will attempt the match in the boiler trick though as I value the little hair I do have left :D I have a hunch its the PCB but at £200+ it could prove costly if wrong.

    Boiler won't light (Ideal Icos)

I take it there isn't an Ideal Icos expert out there then  Can't find seem to find much out about them, are they any good ? (or am I answering my own question?)

    Boiler won't light (Ideal Icos)

The lead and the electrode come supplied as one piece. Any ideas on what next ? Used to be a plumber but still naughty I know

    Boiler won't light (Ideal Icos)

Centeral heating switched to on,pump running. Boiler attempts to start and fails. Can hear clicking/switching and fan noises as normal but observe no spark. Gas seems to be getting into the boiler as I can smell it. Fault code comes up as flame fault. Installation and service guide states...

    Boiler won't light (Ideal Icos)

I was afraid it would be that! I expect thats going to cost me in the region of £250, is there any way i can test the PCB or is it 99% certain to be the PCB? Thanks

    Boiler won't light (Ideal Icos)

I have an ideal icos condensing boiler that will not light. I cannot see a spark from the ignition electrode(which I have replaced), what else could it be?
